On Monday, members of the SET-Plan Implementation Working Group on Wind Energy (IWG Wind) met online to officially relaunch their activities!
It’s a fresh start for the SET-Plan Implementation Working Group on Wind Energy ( IWG Wind)! On 16 January, members of IWG Wind – the SET-Plan group for Member State representatives leading national R&I agendas for wind energy – met online to officially re-inaugurate their activities.
Supported by the SETIPWind EU-funded project, IWG Wind (previously known as the Implementation Working Group on Offshore Wind) has decided to enlarge its scope to onshore and offshore wind energy. The purpose of the group is to strengthen collaboration between EU Member States and Associated countries to implement concrete R&I actions at the national level – with the aim of accelerating the development of wind energy in Europe.
During the kick-off meeting, IWG Wind members (representing Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Spain and Turkey) together with representatives from the European Commission and the IWG Wind Secretariat (managed by WindEurope), looked at the goals of the group and its work programme over the next three years.
